The Greeting Card Association will debut a new trade show in 2019 focusing exclusively on greeting cards, the group announced Aug. 3.
The new show will be a first for GCA, which currently holds an annual conference and other, smaller events. The show will be held May 18-20 at the Brooklyn Expo Center in New York City. A name for the event has yet to be determined.
"We know that the new GCA show will be the best show for our industry and I encourage publishers to participate," GCA elected President Christy Kaprosy said in a statement announcing the event.
The show will have space for approximately 141 exhibitors, Kaprosy said. GCA members will be given the first opportunity in reserving exhibit space and will be able to do so at lower cost than non-members.
GCA is considering holding the show in other cities in the future, preferably in cities that do not have similar events. http://bit.ly/2vPAwvn
